Rhyming is SUCH an important skill for our students to master!

It is essential that our young students become experts at hearing, identifying, and manipulating sounds in words in order to help them become successful readers.

Understanding rhymes can help students be better able to read and write later on!

Your students will love working on their fine motor AND rhyming skills with these French Rhyming Clip Cards.

I find the best way to help my students master rhymes is to practice, practice, practice! We play a variety of games to help us get better and better at listening for and identifying rhyming words.

Use these clip cards during your literacy centres and give your students valuable and engaging practice identifying rhyming pairs!

To prepare the cards, simply print, laminate, and cut. To make them self correcting, you may want to put a sticker on the back, behind the correct answer.

Provide your students with clothespins (*not included), and model how to say the name of the object in the middle of the card. Then, say the name of each of the other objects, and listen for which word rhymes. Clip that word.

Simple, but fun and effective!
