FRENCH Behaviour Bingo – Je parle en français – Communication orale

Looking for a fun & unique way to encourage your students to « parler en français »? Why not give this French behaviour bingo a try? French Behaviour Bingo is a fun way to reward your students for speaking French, with a little element of chance thrown in.

It’s simple to set up. Choose a theme and print a board for each student (it’s fine that many students will have the same board!), plus the calling cards that go with that theme.

You choose if you want to print your boards in colour or in black & white.

(I print the student cards in black & white, so they can colour them in, and the calling cards in colour)

How to play:

• Tape each student’s card to their desk, or to a space on the wall, and keep the calling cards for the theme you’re working on in a baggie.
• As your students are working, playing, eating, etc., whenever you hear a student speaking French, draw a calling card for them. That student will colour in or mark the corresponding object on their board.
• When a student gets Bingo, they win a prize of your choice (a sticker, iPad time, lunch with you – whatever prizes you usually give!).
• You decide how a student gets Bingo – a line, four corners, an X, a full card, etc!

This resource is a fun twist on a typical sticker chart – your students will love the suspense of seeing which object they get to colour or mark, and will be motivated to keep speaking French to try and draw the object they need!
