FRENCH Primary Math – J’ai… qui a? Game for Number Sense

Looking for a fun way for your students to review important skills and concepts in your French primary classroom?

J’ai… qui a? is a fun game to help students quickly recognize and say the names of numbers, shapes, vocabulary words, and more!

This version of the game focuses on quickly identifying how many dots in a ten frame (to 20), subtizing (to 10), and recognizing numbers to 30.

To play, first choose a category. You will NOT be able to mix more than one category together for the game to work! If you have too many/not enough students for a certain category, you can double students up, work with a smaller group, or give some students more than one card.

To play, choose someone to start. They will read their card: « J’ai ____; qui a _____?” The person who has that goes next, and reads their card. The game continues until everyone has read/said their cards and you’re back to the beginning.

You can have students switch cards and play as many times as you like!

This game is a great warm up for your math block. Where applicable, cards are available in both colour and black & white.

• Arrangements of dots (to 10) – black & white
• A second option of arrangements of dots (to 10) – black & white
• Les chiffres (to 30) – in colour and black & white
