Here is a fun, simple math centre, perfect for students developing their number sense! This « jeu de l’oie » will help your young learners begin to recognize numbers 1-10, number words, tally marks, 10 frames, arrangements of 1-10 dots, and 2D/3D shapes at first glance.

Here is a fun, simple math centre, perfect for students developing their number sense! This « jeu de l’oie » will help your young learners begin to recognize numbers 1-10, number words, tally marks, 10 frames, arrangements of 1-10 dots, and 2D/3D shapes at first glance.
To play, print and laminate the game board, I Can card, spinner, and desired game cards. Students will each need a game marker, and each group will need a paperclip and pencil to complete the spinner. The first student draws a card. If they can identify what number, quantity, or shape is on the card, the can spin the spinner and advance that number of spaces. Then it is the next player’s turn.
It is totally up to you which game cards you use – use them all, or pick the ones that touch the outcomes you are specifically working on!
This math centre includes a “carte Je peux” to help foster student independence – if they forget what to do during the centre, they can just check the directions!
