Let’s talk a bit about in person/online/hybrid teaching today. Specifically, I want to chat about math and how you can assign things like French math worksheets to all of your students.
I actually had no idea that hybrid teaching was a thing until recently! One of my friends (Sarah from Fun in French Immersion) mentioned it the other day. She told me that last year, she had to both teach in person and online (and also make send-home packets).
Umm, excuse me?! What?? How is that a thing?
In case that’s your reality right now, I wanted to take a second today and share two math resources that might help you out. They are essentially the same thing, in two different formats – cut and paste and drag & drop.
No matter where your students physically are, they can be practicing the same skills!
Math pour la maternelle – Découpe et colle French Math Worksheets
These are the original math worksheets that I created for maternelle (for première année sheets, click HERE). They are cut & paste so that students who won’t yet have the fine motor skills they need to write their numbers can still get important practice. They will just be cutting & pasting their answers instead of writing them.
There are a variety of sheets for a bunch of different math concepts – counting to 10, number order, sorting, patterns, shapes, and more!
I have sheets for a bunch of different themes – 12 to be exact! So, no matter what time of year it is, you’ll be set :).
Need a bundle?
You can also grab them in a bundle if you need sheets for the whole year, and save over 20%. Click HERE to see it!
I love using these sheets to finish off a hands-on lesson on whatever skill is practiced on the sheet. If we did a lesson on counting, sorting, patterns, etc, we complete a sheet on the same topic at the end of the lesson. They are also great to leave as emergency sub plans!
Another thing that I love about these is that even students who don’t have enough fine motor skills for correct number formation can be successful. They can work on their fine motor while cutting, but they only need to be able to identify the correct answer — not write it.
(Of course, as the year progresses and you’ve invested time in teaching correct numeral formation, you’ll want to provide opportunity to practice that, too!)
Math pour la maternelle – Digital French Math Worksheets
If your students are learning online (or if you just prefer digital) and they have access to Google Drive, you might want to give the digital version of the worksheets a go.
I love them because they are in full colour, so they look amazing on the screen!
The digital worksheets are pretty much an exact copy of the cut & paste ones as far as content goes. There may be a couple differences in clip art because I had to use clip art that was licensed specifically for digital resources. But, the content of the sheets is the same from print to digital.
Also, note that your students will need access to Google Slides in order to complete these sheets.
When I did these with my students, I only assigned one sheet per day – not all 15 at once. To do that, I first made a copy of the original. Then, I deleted all the slides I didn’t want my students to complete that day.
When my students completed a sheet, I added a digital sticker. There’s a bunch of cute ones available on TPT, even in French!
Once I had the slide task ready to go, I changed the title to that day’s date, and assigned it to my students in Google Classroom. Easy!

Let me help make your math worksheet life easier!
No matter how or where you are teaching right now, if you’re teaching math, hopefully one of these sets of sheets will be a good fit for you.
I know first-hand how hard it can be to find the perfect resources in French. Even if I’ve never had to teach hybrid before, I can imagine how challenging it must be to find things that your students who are at home can use just as easily as your students who are in person!
As always, if there’s anything else you’re looking for, don’t hesitate to reach out!
