Downgrading to the Basic Membership Level

As of June 2023, we began offering a new, lower-priced level of the membership called the Basic Membership. We’re calling the level of membership that all existing members through May 2023 have been on the Full Membership.

Members on the Full Membership level are welcome to downgrade to the Basic Membership level, but we want to be clear about the differences between the two levels and what will change when you downgrade.

As a reminder, here are the perks associated with each level of membership:

What Happens When You Downgrade

We want to be very clear that the monthly resource packs and the free first TeachAlong™ are not included perks of the Basic Membership level, so when you choose to downgrade, you will no longer have access to this membership portal (or the older membership portals from the old version of the membership — Club du primaire — prior to August 2021) once the end of your billing cycle hits upon cancelling your Full Membership subscription. You will also lose access to your free first TeachAlong™ portal at that time.

If you’d like to regain access to what was previously your free first TeachAlong™ in the future, you can join when it’s open for enrollment by purchasing it at the steeply discounted alumni price, which we offer on updated versions.

We strongly recommend downloading the monthly resource packs, as well as the resources included in your free first TeachAlong™, as you receive them and saving them on your computer or in your cloud storage software. We also recommend that you check your subscription details inside your Account Dashboard so you know when your monthly or annual rebill date is and, therefore, how much time you have until you would lose access.

1. Go to “My Account.”
2. Click on “Courses & Memberships.”
3. Click on “Subscriptions.”

Membership Resource Catalogue

You can use the Membership Resource Catalogue to download older resources that you might have a hard time keeping track of — maybe you don’t remember which portal they were in. This is probably a more efficient way to find specific resources you want to make sure you download and save, rather than going through portals trying to dig through hundreds of resources.

Members Who Joined Before August 2021

For members who joined before August 2021, you will retain your free access to the five online courses and TeachAlongs™ that we released during the 2020-2021 school year, as those were factored into the cost of your membership and that was before étoiles were a perk of the membership, enabling you to purchase resources and TeachAlongs™ of your choice. As usual, your free access will only continue for as long as you remain a member in good standing.

Can You Upgrade Again?

If you are a current member on the Full Membership level who downgrades to the Basic Membership level, and then later you would like to upgrade back to the Full level again, you will be able to do so. You will also be able to return to the Full level membership tier to which you were previously subscribed.

How to Downgrade to the Basic Membership Level

Email Leslie, the Online Business Manager of Andrea’s business, at andrea@maternelleavecmmeandrea.com. She will assist you with cancelling your Full Membership subscription and signing up for the Basic Membership level.
