How to prep and use this resource:

• Cut out and laminate the cards
• Students will choose a card and decide if the two images depicted rhyme
• If yes, they place the card in the chart beside the thumbs up card
• If not, they place it beside the thumbs down card
• There are a variety of recording sheets included as well, where students can record what they found!

If you want to use this activity as an independent centre, just print and laminate the “I Can” card. “I Can” cards help foster student independence – they can follow the directions if they forget what to do! Just print, cut, and laminate if you would like to use it, and store it with your centre materials for this centre.

This set includes 32 cards with words that rhyme, and 32 cards with words that do not rhyme.
