French Sight Words / Beginning Sounds Solve & Stamp Worksheets

Here is a simple, fun, ENGAGING literacy centre or word-work activity for your students. They will love pretending to be detectives, solving the secret code to unlock and discover the mystery sight words!

All they have to do to crack the code is stamp the first letter of each picture clue (referential* included for those who may not quite be able to identify beginning sounds yet). The first letter of each picture clue in each box will spell out a sight word when stamped left to right!

*Includes 4 référentiels to choose from, depending on your stamps/needs – upper- and lower-case in both colour and black & white

If you don’t have stamps, no problem! Just get your kiddos to use markers to write the letters instead.

You can make this centre reusable by laminating the sheets or sliding them into a page protector and using white-board markers, as well. I usually choose two sheets and print them front-to-back to ensure my students will have enough stamping to do during their whole 15-20 min centre.
